I drive over the Conway Crossing on a daily basis. The crossing itself is perfectly fine. The crossbucks and lights may need some TLC, but they are functional. The crossing at 16/302 White Mountain Oil? I though I left the front end of my car on it the last time I went over it before replacement. Tr...

FINALLY able to regain access........ Anyway, let me chime in with a few ideas here: Freight is a very realistic possibility. Down through Redstone, over the bridge which is being tended to, and into Maine. There are rumored to be a "few" customers that would be interested in rail service....

BWAHAHAHAHA Mike is spot on. All of this speculation is hysterical. Paul is the caretaker of the 470 equipment. Paul is not going anywhere. So, in addition to provisions that I am certain exist in whatever deal the 470 Club has with the CSRX, the equipment will go no place.......... 501 now has a re...

I believe that once it gets there, you will see the GP18 get taken OOS for a paint job, and then the 2 GP38's will be taken out one at a time and be overhauled, the extent of which I do not have the answer for.

When an engineer the caliber of Mr. Hood says...'That is the engine I want to use'.....guess what engine is used?

1757 is nowhere near ready for action. 573 is having a 92 day, and 252 is getting some bugs worked out.

Go to Railfan Day and enjoy yourself!

The only train that is void is the Notch Train.

The Valley Train goes to Glen instead of Conway and also still goes to Bartlett.

Lunch and Dinner are still served accordingly

When the money comes available............there will be progress.

I am sure the 470 would welcome your donation of any amount.

There really isn't a way to charge for tickets at Attitash, although with the partnership that the railroad has with Attitash via the food program, one would think that there would be a way to load up in the future. One concern I would think is that.....what if the patron misses the last train back ...

Honestly..........Do you 2 have any clue what you are talking about? There is zero interest in another steam engine in North Conway. With 9 car Notch Trains becoming the norm, and the current restoration of 7470, there is little time or manpower to work with a tank engine..... There is already a sta...

1751 is the power for now........ I have worked with both 252 and 216 on the Conway End.......numerous times. (I even have photos) 501..........you have the space/time/cost to purchase the beast......I am sure that the 470 would entertain you....... SHe can be restored quickly.......but in the words...

With the steam out, and many other events going on during the same weekends throughout the region, it makes perfect sense to have Railfan on one day.....

And I will autograph the brochure cover for you next time I see you ;-)

Let's be factual...........for the final time hopefully...... The 501 will not run for the following reasons: A) The stigma that is attached to the poor beast due to YouKnowWho and his actions and blustery noise. B) Mr. Seybold simply doesn't want it to. There is a feeling that it would put a great ...
