As of may 2008 when i last saw it number 666 was in yn2 paint with the blue logo
I was cought by the tracks in englewood the other week because someone called me in. I was waiting to catch the local crossing the grade by route 80. I admit, i didn't do the usual guarilla style aproach this time. I simply stood out like a sore thumb waiting. The cop was friendly and i told him wha...
Cat fight. Everyone place your bets
One thing i noticed on the bullsheet is that over the past year or two CSX has been painting much of there geeps, switchers, and slugs. There almost all painted. CSX pretty much slowed down with them and now there doing the road units. Get your shots of the yn2 paint while you can. Also, according t...
I have a question on this locomtive. I photographed this in 2003 and on researching it's heritage i could not find anything to suggest that it was used on the adirondack railroad or railway. Is this a fictitious paint scheme and number or did this loco actualy work for the named railroad?
The diesel shop is an excellent site for reference. I often go to it when planing trips.
Try the bull sheet. It's pretty accurate and up to date. You will see lists of locomotives broken down by type and paint scheme. The only thing i wish is if the site can tell me what locomotives are assigned to what areas in the system?
thanks for the info.
Can any one give me information as to how many trains run on the southern tier? I live in new jersey so i'm not familiar with western new york. I plan on railfanning the line this year. Also, i was reading about the problem with the portageville bridge. Is the line open or shut down due to this brid...
OOOOO YEAH!!!!!! Now that's what i'm talking about. Great pictures.
Thanks for the info. I'm looking to photograph an eastbound over the bridge. When i head towards work i pass over the engine facility and see the loco's sitting every other day which is around a quarter after 8 am. I'm assuming the train arives to richfield before dawn. Is there a defect detector wo...
One spot i tried but with no luck is at a park in i think bogota. The trestle goes over the river there. Right where the uss Ling is sitting. That would be an exellent morning shot in the summer months but the question i ask is when does the train arive at the bridge?
Thanks but unfortunatly, when i made a large print i found that it was very grainy. The origional was film scanned in to the computer. Old technology doesn't mix to well with digital. I wonder, how many trains pass over the bridge a day?
Thank you for the information. The reason why i asked is because i passeed through the area a few years ago and unexpectedly saw a train crossing the bridge. I wanted to label the image correctly. Thought i might share a picture. Enjoy!!!!
I would like to know the name of the line that runs over the upper bay bridge to oak island. On researching, i found nothing. The shared assets part of north jersey seems to be a confusing network to research.
