Re: SEPTA to Piggyback on NJT MLV III (EMU) Order?

Just looked at the capital budget for 2020 and these vehicles are mentioned in the budget with the budget price that NJT has. There is also a rendering of what the MLV EMU will / might look like. Slightly different. Page 63. I couldn't post the image. http://septa.org/strategic-plan/reports/fy-2020...

NPL: Interesting observation concerning the surplus ACS-64 Sprinters... This reminds me of how SEPTA tested the then-new push-pull equipment along with the AEM7s back in 1987 in which a test set ran peak hour trips on each line for a one-week period. It was found that this equipment was better suit...

I'm just trying to gather this...so basically all the money that was collected for the turnpike was not put to use for improvements on the turnpike if i am comprehending ? I really will hate to see so many of these SEPTA projects be stopped in their tracks, which drastically needs to happen. So is t...

SEPTA should ask the owner of King Of Prussia to put some funds to this. I mean the rail line is gonna benefit them also. My .02 cents.

Are the push-pulls still on the Trenton Line ? I'm guessing with the more push-pull runs they can move the Silverliners around and maybe more frequent trips on some lines. ?

Atleast SEPTA is making a profit so they can put to that $63,000,000 Million gap they facing. lol

The current topic on the SEPTA Key has been dormant for a couple of weeks ...MACTRAXX OK, bumping the thread ... based on what I'm hearing, it looks like SEPTA no longer plans to install TVMs / kiosks at most outlying RRD stations. That leaves occasional and discretionary riders pretty much in the ...

Hopefully dwell times is reduced by the time these cars possibly hit the rails. It would help if SEPTA really amped up the high-level platforms in the next five years.

They are installing equipment , numerous sightings have been seen. True NJT never gave a exact date honestly. I've seen contract awards and bids on their website that have the Atlantic City Line listed so i doubt they would pay all that money and do all that work and just abandon it.

I've been following this for a few days even before i found out SEPTA was listed. Since i did find out that SEPTA was listed, i do find that this will be BEST for them to do. The silverliner 4's are almost at the end of their useful life as is the Arrows. This would be easier on SEPTA without going ...

I Happen to come across some information regarding this. In the information i read it mentioned a option for 250 cars "INTENDED" for SEPTA. This was news to me because they ofcourse have not mentioned anything. So i am very curious to see how this will play out. A part of me thinks SEPTA w...

A subway stop at 20th/Market is pointless. If that would happen then they might as well build the Roosevelt Blvd Subway.

I was talking about this in my ASET class. Basically the reason why so many people and many in the vicinity in the community are against it is because of the health affects it could have on people. Why should SEPTA build such a plant in a residential neighborhood. ? Is there another alternative to b...
