14 cars went south threw high water tonight at 10:45.
On the night of the 8th I caught the north bound train in Sutton. It had two locomotives and no cars. The following afternoon on the 9th I saw the south bound train. Again with two locomotives and one covered hopper car.
Late Monday night, or should I say early Tuesday morning I counted 32 or so cars behind the b23-7's as they went threw cowansville. Biggest train I have seen in a long time on this line.
I spoke to a CMQ employee this afternoon. The wash out occurred in High water right next the boarder.
Is the washout in Vermont or Quebec. I have only seen a hi-rail on the line north of Richford this week.
The stanbridge sub and at Rosalie sub have seen no action at all since MMA. In St Sabine where 8583 sat and was left for dead they have removed the track, ballast and soil under the ballast. I imagine this is because of a fuel leak. The large Shurgain feed mill that burnt in Ange gardien was directl...
It's nice to see 2006 back in the area.
They leave Farnham most of the time in the late morning, around 11 or 12.
Any news on this sub? Is it dead for good?
As far as I know the provincial government owns the Tracks. From valley jct to sherbrooke there is supposed to be 15 km of track missing or in need of fixing (paved over crossings). There is a new short line railroad that runs from Charny to scot. I believe the are called Chemin de fer Sartigan. The...
Is VB103 still in Newport?
Dose any body know what CMQ's plans are for the stanbridge sub and the St-Rosalie sub?
Is it possible they are short on locomotives? Farnham has been pretty quite lately.
They just put a lot of money in the Newport sub over the summer and they finally got the trains running at a decent speed why would they be cutting back on service? There was talk of removing the siding in Highwater but they ended up leaving it. They did remove the switch east of the 243. The siding...
Trains in the townships have been running pretty regular. Mostly at night though. The Newport sub sees two or three trips to Newport and back a week.
