Only car storage? Darn. Would’ve liked to see some freight return to that portion of the line. Phase 1 was announced back in January 2020 so if they got the money in July that year they’ve had it for almost 3 years now. They may have been anticipating an earlier startup of the DRRR at the time but ...

Does PSR require trains to be too long? Some states think so. https://stjosephpost.com/posts/d1ee51c9 ... 304018c6a4

This is why CEOs get paid millions to lead. A fascinating in depth look as to the biggest challenge facing the North American rail industry by a CEO who has obviously been studying this subject for decades. With this kind of keen insight there is no problem too big to solve. https://www.railwayage.c...

Check out West Jersey's quarterly issues. You have to search through but they have much information about CNJ's freight operations. https://www.westjersey-nrhs.org/wjrq-3

When Seashore Lines did their STB filing for the BP Sec, they mentioned that Conrail retains operating rights down to Palermo (DCS PAL?) to maintain access to the IT. For what reason would they do this if the sole reason trains were running there to begin with is now gone? The rumored construction ...

Basically because it is a terminal point. What happens if the thing goes down in Huntingdon? Wait 4 hours for an engine from Pittsburgh or 4 hours for one from Philadelphia? Harrisburg is a major terminal point for Amtrak. No reason why they can't have a spare P42 to do yard work and head out on the...

Well only 54 Million spent on this project. Perhaps this will bode well for the Philly to Reading service. This program was WAY to heavy in costs, 1234 would have fallen over if all the consultants showed up at one time and started dancing! It died from over feeding of dollars and planning. Another...

We had a bad delay March 11 on train 42. The diesel died in Harrisburg, and we had to wait for a replacement engine to come from Philly. We left Harrisburg over 4 hours late with a lot of unhappy passengers. My wife and I were going to a concert in Altoona and missed almost all of it. Two and a hal...

The NEWS reports stated that this incident in the cafe car took place approximately 8 to 9 a.m. It is highly probable that the crew asked these two passengers to leave as the table at which they were seated was needed for other passengers to eat breakfast. Or she was mad when that was one of the ta...

They were getting vandalized in Woodbury, so SRNJ moved them to an unknown location. Well it was unknown....... Not a secret location though. Right next to the crossing in plain sight for everyone traveling on Jessop Road to see. Probably so anyone messing with them would be easily spotted by the p...

The two SRNJ engines are sitting at Jessop Road crossing for some reason. They are not powered up that I could tell.
