They'd have to make something up, wouldn't they? I don't think PRSL had anything but black road switchers without even a herald on them. (They did have a herald, but I don't think I ever saw one on anything but a timetable.) The GP-38s all had heralds on them, but you're right. Visually they weren'...

I don't know about the hopper but the centerbeams are handled right there at Woodbury.

Either NJT is going to come onto the line at some point, or there are going to be some very large freight operations soon... Not necessarily. The Bellmawr industrial track had quite a bit of new welded rail put in a couple of years ago and that does less business than this branch does. The Salem br...

I know you find this hard to believe but not everybody feels like you do. Just because you feel being on the train is very taxing doesn't mean everybody does. If you can drive 6 hours straight in a car without physical problems you should thank the Lord instead of calling others who can't lazy. I be...

"The only people riding that train do not own an automobile, are too lazy to drive that far, or wish to sight see from the train as they ride by as a tourist." That quote is not not only false but it is insulting, John. That's entirely a misquote. Here is the entire quote, with the cavat ...

Voices are getting raised because they know there's Consulting fees to be pilferred from the taxpayers. It's time to spend millions and millions on studies for no benefit as an outcome. Thank you Arborway. You saved me from posting that. A bigger factor to me is the arrival time at stations. I travel out to Cincinnati but the train gets in at 130a and leaves at 330a so that eliminates train travel as a way to get there.

Except if I'm driving 6 hours that's two rest stops. (one for a meal) so now I'm at 6 hours 45 minutes if I don't run into any slowdowns due to traffic and construction, not to mention I'm close to 70 and am going to be completely blown out by the time I reach my destination, so yeah, I'd take the ...

Thanks. It certainly looks like there is enough land in that area for a transfer facility if that is what they're putting together.

Reading Ave., $76,800. Boyertown Foundry Company to Berks County Redevelopment Authority, Landis Lane...

There's quite a difference, though, between allowing a vehicle to access your property and allowing major changes to your land that a rail line would require. It would be very complicated and as you point out cost many dollars in fees and payments to the owner. Would it be worth all that time, troub...
