Anybody who claims that the John Olver train station is one of the three Most Beautiful Train Stations in the US is seriously out of touch with reality if not totally deranged.

it worked very well, great views especially of incoming or outgoing trains., restroom, variety of supplies first floor, and office upstairs with variety of means of communication at their disposal. It had everything that you need to have except pizza.

I have often wondered, given the general traffic congestion especially in the summer months between Brunswick, Bath, Woolwich, and Wiscasset, whether a BIW subsidized RDC commuter service between those points in the morning and afternoon would make cents?

what you're seeing is running rail from the heat causing the track to pop out the sides. cwr will do the same thing with a pi r squared vengeance if not properly installed compounded by insufficient ballast and a lack of anchoring.

Historically on and adjacent to the cape the natives seem to feel that the railroad is an excellent place to ride bicycles, four wheelers, motorcycles, not to mention a nice place for a walk, and absolutely terrific for fishing.
