NJ.com had an article regarding the use of a cab car in front of the locomotive. “It has allowed us to operate trains that would not have been able to operate without those cab cars,” said Jim Smith, an NJ Transit spokesman. That would indicate that they have all the trackside equipment on-line and ...
Believe it our not, NJT made the 12/31 PTC deadline with time to spare. NJ TRANSIT today marked 100-percent completion of the Federal Railroad Administration’s (FRA) 2018 year-end milestone for Positive Train Control (PTC). Criteria for this requirement included installation of equipment on locomoti...
Fortress Investments is a hedge fund and not a railroad holding company so the sale of the company is expected at some point. They need/expect double digit returns so if CMQ is not generating those returns and it is not forecast to do so in the near future, then I would expect Fortress to dump them....

The Jersey Central Railway Historical Society's 2019 all color CNJ calendar is now in stock and can be purchased for $16.00 ($12.00 + $4.00 shipping) at: https://store.jcrhs.org/.
It is defunct. Not sure about copyrights but many but not all of the images are in the NRHS photo archives.
The JCRHS has no CNJ records so we won't be of any help.
May I suggest the CNJ group on Yahoo.

They claim the pace will pick up: What makes PTC installation difficult and time consuming is that NJ Transit has 10 different types of locomotives and rail cars. It’s similar to learning to install a 2018 infotainment system in several different models of cars built in the 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990's...
I visited the WW&F for the first time last week and was very impressed with all the group has done. My wife and I enjoyed the ride. Congrats on the bridge and look forward to seeing it in service soon (hopefully).
To overcome that you would need to form a truly regional transportation provider so all the unions were under one organization. And even then I suspect it might be a problem.
A regional provide would probably infringe on too many fiefdoms to ever happen.
