Its funny I was going to post the "Rube Goldberg" comment but I didn't think people would get it. The device does look like it has too many moving parts to survive . If you look at the attached two pictures the "buggy" behind the machine is the regulator broom. I believe the tank...

In addition to Town Farm Rd. crossing, ties have been dropped at Depot Rd and Brookside Rd. in Westford, plus School St. in Chelmsford. It looks like CSX will probably do a tie job on the whole branch to finish up the low budget job Pan Am did in 2016. I don't think the crossing 's are that bad so t...

Sorry about the rotated picture but I've wasted enough time getting it right, happens every time I post a picture from my phone here.

CSX is getting ready for springtime work , a pile of ties and rail was recently dropped off at Town Farm Rd. crossing in Westford. I assume this is for this crossing, but they have stockpiled material here before and then taken it to another location.

Also an SD70AC and SD 40-3 , I imagine the paparazzi will be out in force if they make it to the Worcester line before sunset.

It seems like M426/427 run late night now and I think there have been some days they haven't run at all. Video from Millers Railfan shows M426 led by CSXT 477 and 5 other units through Clinton at 23:30 on Monday about 130 cars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JukSbX81fs0&list=WL&index=2 I se...

Later plentiful radio traffic confirms what Mr. Barlow said. The symbol was actually "S 997" which was past Littleton DD about 22:50 and got permission to continue east because of expected high hits. D2 told them to expect signal to "drop" at NC, signal maintenance crew on site t...

A mystery train tonight, at about 18:45 I heard on the road channel "997 stop signal CPF WL." Then at 19:07 District 1 gave a " Form D to 997 with the MEC 7609 to operate in both directions on the single track WOR 1 to Burncoat." There was then something about "what to use f...
