The club since Conways inception has always been tied to the railroad. The club members do a lot of unpaid labor for Conway Scenic in return for storing their equipment. Please fact check before you post something like this. Yes, we have been tied closely to Conway Scenic since their inception. A l...

Drove by yesterday on the way to a hockey game and was surprised to see at least a dozen bulkhead flats in the "intermodal" yard loaded with steel being, I presume, unloaded. Glad to see they found some sort of use for all the money sunk into re-configuring it.

Umm, no. It is (4266) and will be (4268) leased to Conway Scenic. There are no restrictions on their use. A couple of years ago, 4266 was used almost daily due to issue's they had with some of their locomotives.

They don't use them much as they have, currently, plenty of their own power.

Is there any way to install low (speed) range dynamic brakes to make them more marketable to the railroad for use on the notch? Can a B-Unit be set up with dynamics only? There's a post in the EMD forum somewhere what explains it better, but essentially, no. While we could get the grids and fans, t...

It had only been about 6 years since the engine last ran.

Is this related to the new but turned away signal at the Saco train station I noticed when I took the Downeaster last week?

Its where the branch to Beecher Falls, VT and previously Lime Ridge, Quebec left the Mountain Division mainline.

Assuming it's not needed as a parts source before a restoration can occur, the plan is for the original Blue Bird paint scheme.

It is heading to North Stratford first as when we set up shipping on SLR, the Groveton line wasn't open. Once we were informed that the Groveton line was open, we were unable to change the shipping to have the unit dropped there instead of a scenic journey around the north country.

Wow, forgot about this thread. As was noted in the Conway Scenic thread, the club has purchased former Boston and Maine 1741 (Pan Am 72). Currently the unit is in Waterville and needs some work to be able to move. We were hoping to have this work done this winter but have been told by Pan Am that du...
