I don't believe it is any new business. The cement is just going by rail now instead of barge.

I swung by Rockland yard today and was surprised to see the yard full. I took some quick pictures, but they are all too poor quality to post.

CP's contract ends on Dec 31st, 2025

CP 2279, a GP20C-ECO is now running on the Rockland Branch. It replaced 3803.

I checked the Rockland yard and there are no boxes in sight. Just whales and hoppers.

Should be profitable since it was profitable enough for Maine Eastern since the freight line subsidized their passenger excursions for 10+ years.

So yesterday I drove past the Rockland yard and noticed for the first time that 2004 has 'Remote contolled' painted on the tail end. Has that always been there? Do they run it remotely now?
