Spoted this at hazen today.
I don't know if this is for snowmobiles or not but a section of track was just brush cut in dalton, NH. The brush cut area started at the crossing on 142 going west after the sand pit. I don't know where it ends yet, there was still brush everywhere next to the Connecticut River.
Heres a couple of photos I took with my phone. I took these before they put the whistle post back up and before they put high balls up.
I just drove by the ball signal and it looks really nice so far! Bright white with pine tree green trim makes it look a lot better then the red did. I wonder if they will paint the singal post white. Is this a more historical look than the goldish and maroon trim? They started to paint over the whi...

The reason why I started this topic is because I've been seeing a lot of action lately arond the ball signal and shed. Yes, sometime from last summer to the beginning of this summer presby hasent bought any pellets. So basicly just the whole winter.
NHCR is back at hazen with a new hopper car filled with plastic pellets.
Slr 3806 left hazen with one hopper car and is almost in lancaster, NH.
It looks like it's being done by the state and it has the letters ds for dig safe. They got lines marking the distant the crossing will be worked on.
There are two railworks trucks on the first crossing in twin mountain. Right now they look like they are measuring the crossing. Also yesterday I saw a NHDOT hy rail truck on the second crossing (near the fish hatchery) and he was only checking the crossing out.
I think your still aloud to walk around because I see tourist in the yard amost every time I'm up there. The only place in the yard I think you can't go is behind 501 and all the way around the back side of the round house.
I also noticed that in Whitefield they paved all the crossings on the MD but none on the B&M. Is that because NHCR still has that lease to Bethelhem?
It would be nice if Quebec jct was still connected to Waumbek jct. Csrx could of gone to cherry pond instead of going above the airport marsh.
They changed the date on the railfan day schedule and it looks like it will be the same as last year.
