Excursion service to Lackawaxen officially resumes this Saturday July 25th details on the website, and Facebook!!
I really hope these customers actually come online. I'm still waiting for the M&E to have ANY movement on the Stourbridge Line that was rebuilt a few years back. I'm not sure they should be the ones running this operation. They have been interchanging cars with the NYS&W lately, not sure wh...
Drove past the ME Shops the BL-2 was sitting out side with it appearing to be idling with the smoke coming out of it. ME 18 was sitting next to it. 563 and another ex Amtrak SW 559 were also sitting outside. Photos from today are on my picasa enjoy. http://picasaweb.google.com/btkspot89/MorristownE...

The official name is Stourbridge Railroad. If you go on to our Yahoo group website and join our group, you can then go to our photo section and enjoy the photos that we have posted. M&E belongs to our group and gave us a copy of their new logo for the line which we have posted there. It is very...

Well does the ME now actually own the SBRY? I was thinking if they did and if ridership declined, then maybe. I don't know anything about the SBRY and their ridership. They are located in a remote part of PA, and the line doesn't look flourishing so I'm assuming their ridership isn't at a high, but...
The Official name IS Stourbridge Railway. What is your source that says otherwise??
Anything is possible, but I doubt that you will see these cars in NJ they were purchased for the exclusive use on the SBRy. But like I said anything is possible!
Just an addendum to the above, Lackawaxen-Hawley was indeed part of the Wyoming Div. The Hawley-Honesdale segment was the Honesdale Branch which connected with the Wyoming at Hawley. The current Stourbridge line is a combination of the old Hoensdale BR. and a portion of the Wyoming (and if you want...
Ken, that is very possible that they are ex AMT cars. If they are, the B A & P must of done some serious upgrades inside, I have never seen crushed velvet interior in a commuter car and they have a half dozen or more flat screen monitors mounted in the center of both coaches. Either way they are...
I took photos of inside earlier today, not sure how to post them here?? everything inside is in french so since I dont speak french we will resort to the tried and true flip the breakers and see what comes on! Some of the markings are from the Butte Anaconda & Pacific Railway, but I dont believe...
Confirming what tim5405 said, We moved these from Lackawaxen on friday night. We placed them west of the LASB snowplow which is OOS in Honesdale, I was told these were original California Zephyr cars, they are set up for dinning service tables on one side and bar on other side. The plan as I underst...
Lets change the name of this thread to the offical name of the line, Stourbridge Railway
