Yeah Ian, I would be surprised if the 1986-87 era built 01700s would be kept later than the 1992-94 era 01800s which IMO are the worst performing especially with brake problems and other issues

Some people still like to travel in those Private Rooms aka Sleepers, even from Boston to Springfield and back, ( which I want to do, but Id have to reserve in advance for a lower price)
Oh I see. Thats good, STrRedWolf
I understand some of the 7Ks are also running on the Red line too. Hopefully they'll continue reintroducing more 7Ks throughout the system
Hopefully by now all MARC and VRE Service along freight owned ROWs is back in full service since the freight rail strike was averted
Now there are 72 new Orange Line CRRC traincars in service. Not too many 012/01300s still in service
Yes, thats right, lordsigma12345. I'd prefer riding in a comfortable Amtrak Amfleet II coach or even a sleeping car booth to travel to Springfield or Albany rather than ab MBTA Commuter coach for that long trip

I now understand that two more 01900s (01906/01907) have arrived on T property and are in testing phase. Thats great news as we hope to see 01908/09 and 01909/10 in the near future
Thats what I understand
And the outage of the 7Ks are causing stofrage problems, they are layed over the the Silv er Line N route extension and Im not sure if the Green line Greenbelt Test track is being used for 7K storage
Shady Grove still has the old school faregates, hopefully SG will get the new ones soon
I understand that a second CRRC train set has arrived on T property not too long ago. Hopefully this is the beginning of the new rolling stock
They are actrually carrying civilian passengers once again. But now with the completion and opening of the new Red Line test track and associated railcar facility and employee training center right at the end of the test track, this will mean the next several new trainsets will be able to take civil...
Well, they can change out the wheel trucks to fit the correct track gauge for the NYC Subway and MBTA Red Line traincars. Also, uphere in Boston weve had similar situations with our CRRC Orange/Red line fleet. One of the new Orange Line MBTA cars derailed on March 16, '21 and they all running CRRC t...
