Same with the Littleton station. Its usually over-capacity with people parking on the verges and grass and all, but the last time I was by a week or so ago, there were three cars.

The work extending the siding at Patriot Beverage looks like its been completed.
There's work going on at the Veryfine/Patriot Beverage siding. All the old rail and ties are taken up, and it looks like they've rough-graded for the length extension. I cant tell if there's work going on around Middlesex Corporation, but it looks like they've put in some new jersey barriers and bar...
Work progressing nicely on the piers for the Green Line over the BET tracks.
Looks like work has started in earnest on the Union Square branch. In the last few weeks, a bunch more piles of ties have been staged at the lot, the station area has huge piles of fill, the ROW has more gravel work done, and just this past Wednesday they moved the piling drill into the area ready t...
404 derailed before Waverly this morning, making 406 (my train) 10 or so minutes late.
Fitchburg line is a mess this morning. My train, 406 is about 40 minutes late. It was stuck at Ayer for about half an hour due to mechanical issues.
They’ve done a bunch of grading and leveling of the Union Square site, and much of the ROW.
406 Wachusett train 15+ minutes late and slowly moving between stations.
There is a whole lot of rail on the ground along the route next to the Fitchburg line. And they’re starting the site clearing. The chain link fence is gone and they’re starting to clean up the rest of the junk on the site.
If you access the Ayer 1939 quadrant from your topo-source of choice and go to the second "T" in the "LITTLETON" designator, you'll see a short stub running north of the WB but not as far as Rte. 2A, a bit southeast of Middle Corporation's 1 Spectacle Pond Road address. There is...
Pondering how they are going to have the track layout there. There isnt a convenient crossover. Veryfine is on the inbound side, and Im assuming the switch for the concrete plant will be on the outbound track. There also is the old MOW siding in the weeds a bit further inbound past the old station (...
Very neat, and very close to me. Ive seen the occasional hirail truck near the Veryfine spur over the last few months, so I knew something was up.
Things are getting serious at the Union Square site. Looks like a port-a-potty was set up some time in the last few days.
http://amp.wcvb.com/article/the-extension-of-the-green-line-is-officially-under-way/21935514 What is this, the third or fourth time Curtatone has put on a prop helmet, picked up a shovel and cut a ribbon? Ah, *thats* what those awnings and fencing were when I came in this morning... They'd also gra...
