That is perfect, thanks.
I was wondering if anyone had a good close up picture of the eagle that was applied to the short hood of the MEC U18bs. I am really having a hard time finding a good picture of it for a modeling project.
Hello guys, I am working on a research project, and I was wondering if anyone had any information on the line between Honesdale and Carbondale. Not the gravity railroad though, the line that was put in in the 1870s for regular locomotive service. When was it torn out, any pictures of it in use, stuf...
If you go to the town of Orwigsburg you can find the remanents of the most ornate station on the Lehigh Valley. If you turn on the road that the post office is on, and head down that road, you will come across two warehouse looking buildings, one with trucks. Make a right on to that road. Anyway, if...
Well, sort of. It is just the cab. I couldn't make out the number, but this is definitely a cool find. I just hope the museum doesn't do something stupid and paint it something other than Reading. http://www.news10.com/story/16407486/historic-locomotive-artifact-to-display-at-schenectady-museum#.Tvu...
I thought that it was 57 that was in that wreck, not 50, which resulted in the Orange Black and grey for 54, and the as delivered white and yellow for 57/557.
Interesting web page. The truck driver was very lucky he bailed in time.
Hello everyone. I am writing to inquire about a wreck of one of the B&A's BL2s, #54, that caused it to become a dead engine. (AKA, the wreck was fatal.) My brother in law worked on engine 54 a few years back when it was in Honesdale, PA, and according to the owner of the locomotive, it had been ...
Thanks guys. I really appreciate it.
Mainly from the Schuylkill County trains. (Ex RDG main to Pottsville. Ex RDG Little Schuylkill line to Tamaqua. Tamaqua into the coal region on the M&S and Catawissa branches, as well as the line from Haucks to Jim Thorpe.)
Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone knew the schedule of when the R&N runs it's trains? I am just wondering as I will soon finally have a car again, and would like to do some rail fanning of the R&N, since it is close by.
Thanks guys.
Really, one of the only real possibilities that I could see that would come out of this and leave things at least relatively unscathed would be a scenario like this. PRR never merges. This keeps PC from dragging the rest of the Pennsylvanian roads down with it. PRR cuts the LVRR loose. B&O backs...
Does anyone know what happened to the Good Spring station?
Hi guys. I am currently modeling the Reading's Shamokin Division in Virtual Scale in the 1950s, and as you probably know, the PRR ran parallel to the Reading's main all the way up to Pottsville. I have a few questions about the PRR's line in the area. 1) What sort of freight was hauled over the line...
I found this great website that has vintage aerial photographs. http://www.pennpilot.psu.edu/ Anyway, in this shot, http://data.cei.psu.edu/pennpilot/era1960/northampton_1958/northampton_1958_photos_jpg_200/northampton_100658_aqv_2r_155.jpg I have noticed(when I zoomed in further after dowlnloading ...
I know that there was a similar style of siding on the Shamokin Division and that it was used like a regular siding, though most of the time it was just a storage siding for hopper cars.
