CSX has done some work between Richland and Adams NY. Track speed is now 40 mph in this section up from the 25mph. It's been some 20 something years since it was last 40mph.

Not much to talk about. It's been a year since the CSX and CN announcement was made. Today the Q620 went up with a big train, 176 cars and 692 axles.

The Q620 hit a dump truck at mile post 40.8 this am. no one injured, some damage to the engine. Leading is CSX 3268.

Heads up north country, W003 heading north with 9969 leading. At some point going to meet Q621 near Watertown.

Notice on sunday and today a north bound with the symbol B782. Train is the same make up as the Q620. Don,t know what to think of this.

Saw something new today; train going up had at the rear a four unit well car, 48 ft wells, heavily graffiti'ed with what looked like trash containers in it, one level high. Used to seeing those on special flat cars. Yea, noticed them a lot this month, usually the well cars are blue, patched and lot...

I wonder if they'll do redoing any grade crossings in the North Country this summer. A lot of them are getting pretty rough.
