I was at Honesdale the other day and sitting in the yard was observation car "WELLSBORO" painted and lettered for PRR. I can't seem to find any information on the history of this car. Can someone help me out here?
Thanks,
John
On Wed. and Thurs. 8/5 and 8/6, when I was there, they were running one train at a time with #89. #90 was in the shop.

She was moved onto the old Erie turntable under her own power in July, 2007. I don't know that she has been moved or started up since. I can't speculate on the route to NC and back but there should be some great pictures forthcoming on the journey and of all the other streamliners participating in t...
I just initiated a post on the DL&W/Erie forum about Jim Wilson's E8 being the 25th cab unit to participate in the NC Museum of Transportation's "Streamliners at Spencer" festival at the end of this month.
Hopefully we will get some details about her movements from/to Port Jervis.

I visit Callicoon about once a month and can report that one of Jim (a/k/a Seamus) Wilson's new ventures shows some signs of life in Callicoon. He has started up the Callicoon Brewing Co and opened a pub in the old Callicoon firehouse. It is located right across the street from the forlorn and forgo...
Are there any resources on the Web to help track the whereabouts of specific heritage units. I would really like to see and photograph 1068 (the Erie unit)? I spend some time in Sullivan County NY and would certainly trek to Bingo or Eastern PA if there were a chance of a sighting.

Passed through PJ this morning. A group of men were examining 2 of the NYGL passenger cars. They appear to have been broken into. One of the men was wearing a NYJT vest and was taking pictures. Other than the damaged windows to these 2 cars I'm surprised that the rest of the equipment hasn't been va...

Came across a book from Arcadia Publishing with lots of pictures of the M&U (now M&NJ) up to the 50's. It is compiled by Doug Barberio of the M&NJ Historical Society. I found it a nice read even if a little expensive. I never fully realized that at E Main St in Middletown the Erie, the O...
