Re: 2019 Spring Train Show Listing

Hi Guys, I have removed the TCA Rochester Train Show, February 23rd Show from the WNYRHS Calendar. Their event coordinator has confirmed the show was cancelled. Thanks to all of you who attended our show this past weekend. Bringing back the NOME layouts really helped attendance. Sincerely, Scott H.

Re: RPCX 4001 now in Lockport

Happy New Year Guys! I'm very impressed that you caught the move GojiMet86! This link will answer why the car was seen in Canada. http://www.trainweb.org/wnyrhs/passenger2017.htm#lunch1117 Unfortunately, the lunch counter car never fit into the Medina Railroad Museums business plan with some leaders...

Hi Guys! Maybe this link will help: http://www.trainweb.org/wnyrhs/Images/show219/ShowFlyer219a.pdf This will be our 28th "Winter Train Show and Toy Show." We added the "Toy Show" part in the late 90's to boost attendance. With the internet rapidly becoming a place to buy and sell anything, many you...

Re: BUFFALO CREEK #43 HH660 On the Move!

Hello Todd! Thank you for your positive response! Its too bad that everyone has migrated to other forms of social media. To date, this board has 28 posts all year. Back in 2013, there were over 100 a month. It was still a better choice than scrolling through hundreds of random posts to go back to fi...

BUFFALO CREEK #43 HH660 On the Move!

Hi Guys! On Saturday July 28th, 2018, another milestone was crossed in getting BC #43 back onto the mainline. Although it took 12 years to put all the pieces back together we ran the engine back and forth on 100 feet of siding for over three hours. It took a bit of tinkering to get the traction moto...

Re: BUFFALO CREEK HH660 #43 On the Move

Thank you NYCRRson and BR&P for your kind words! According to “the dieselshop.us” and “ALCO’s HH Series” by Daniel Cupper, there are eight surviving HH600/HH660’s, one HH900 and one HH1000. The Diesel Shop has four as being active but further investigation reveals the two ex. RELCO lease units as no...

Re: BUFFALO CREEK HH660 #43 On the Move

Thank you for the compliments guys! The WNYRHS is working on getting track rights on two sidings right behind the Heritage DiscoveRY Center on Lee Street in downtown Buffalo. That would be the beginning until more substantial track is laid. At least we could offer short runs with a number of caboos...

Hello All! On October 21st, 2017, the Buffalo Creek #43 crew and I started #43 for the last time this year before we had to dump the water and cover the radiators. The four minute YouTube video below shows how we did. Unfortunately we only have two traction motors fully wired at this time and we nee...

Hello All, Although there was a lot of coverage in July 2016 when the movie "Marshall" was being shot at Central Terminal and the old State Office Building in Buffalo, little notice was taken when the production company came to our Orchard Park BR&P Depot. We were thrilled to see several of the depo...
