He has retired.

Several lawsuits have been initiated against the Office of the Attorney General based on the fraudulent information given to the grand jury and the resultant subpoenas and warrants issued based on that information.

The circulation of the Times has dropped more than 18 percent since it ran its ill-fated blockbuster expose on the Railroad Retirement system. An insider there said he "can't see how they can be still be publishing next year". The paper failed to report the full outcome of the investigations.

Newsday's circulation has dwindled to less than many weeklies, with their six million dollar on-line edition attracting only 35 paid subscribers. They also rode the bandwagon of misinformation, quoting prosecutors who were found to have lied to the Grand Jury. The paper failed to report the full outcome of the investigations.

This is wonderful news regarding F.K. I truly hope he finds quietude in retirement.

Tool, who is suing OAG? Will MTA and LIRR "Third Floor"management also be targets, as they were complicit in this witch hunt?

We got word from the source today that the good news is premature.

The information Tool reported was erroneously being disseminated by the LIRR.

The AG and the LIRR has not paid F.G. a penny and his reneged on their agreement to hire him back.

Sorry for passing along incorrect information.

FK greatly appreciates all the support shown to him from LIRR workers and retirees over this long drawn-out ordeal that he is going through. He thanks God for the outpouring of love that he has been given.

He knows that he has done nothing wrong. He knows that he has stood up for ther truth, even when it was unpopular or politically incorrect. He knows that he has helped his brothers and sisters at the LIRR with information that was vital to their livelihoods, information that was denied to them by certain managers. If he could go back in time, he would not change a thing.

The current management at the LIRR has treated him as if he was the plague. They are so uninformed that it is beyond laughable. Even though he was exonerated of all allegations, they refused to welcome him back. Because they changed all managers over to "at will" employees in 2007, they now choose to terminate him just because they can. He has very little recourse even though they have not charged him with any alleged violation.

He had dedicated his life to the employees of the LIRR and continues to help all who come in contact with him. As the judge who exonerated him stated, there is nothing illegal in providing expert information. FK is an expert.

Its funny how Coumo has gone after Patterson for accepting 5 Yankee tickets valued at less than $5,000. Yet, no one says anything about a multi-million dollar investigation that failed to turn up even one arrest for fraud! Guess it wasn't so widespread was it Andy?

FK wants to thank you all for standing with him. He asks only for your continued prayers as he continues to move forward.

Anyone have an update on FK?

According to this, Cuomo will be gunning for all the unions if elected governor:

Cuomo Vows Offensive Against Labor Unions

Andrew M. Cuomo will mount a presidential-style permanent political campaign to counter the well-financed labor unions he believes have bullied previous governors and lawmakers into making bad decisions. He will seek to transform the state’s weak business lobby into a more formidable ally, believing that corporate leaders in New York have virtually surrendered the field to big labor.

Cuomo vows to be much worse on labor than was his father, who led us into an extended strike than fought even minimal cost-of-living raises for union workers. As Attorney General he squandered $14 million in a witch hunt against Railroad Retirement Disability -- a program of which the State has no jurisdiction.

Yet several LIRR unions have sent Tool letters endorsing Cuomo -- I suppose he paid or promised them funds for their support.

The Railroad has been ordered by the Court to return FK to employment. They have yet to do so. FK is suing for their contempt of the order.

FK has since returned to freelance consulting with retirees about their pensions - the trade for which Cuomo attempted unsuccessfully to prosecute him.

I doubt that Junior will be any different from his father

or Client #9 who is on at 8:00 PM (Spitzer) or Patterson

That is why Commuter X is voting for Jimmy McMillan, because my Rent is too Damn High and urge others to do the same

Great idea.

He can wave his magic Black Glove and all the prices will go back to 1962.

But he said first he'd appoint Al Sharpton Attorney General.

It is of some comfort to know that one organization which has spearheaded the fight to take away pensions, decrease wages, lambast Long Island Rail Road employees, rally for reverse racism and increase taxes for socialist wealth redistribution schemes continues to have problems of its own:
As U.S. newspaper circulation continued to decline, an industry report showed Newsday, among the major newspapers, had the biggest percentage drop in average weekday circulation...
The newspaper's weekday paid daily circulation for the six months ended in September fell... 11.84 percent according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations.
The New York Times followed closely on their tails. Their paid advertising is down 23% during the same six months.

The only thing those papers are good for is the lining on the bottom of the bird cage.
And thank goodness they (the birds) dont know how to read.

A little off topic, but newspapers and printed books are going the way of the cassette tape and the CD
In a few years, most everything will be delivered electronically. Either these companies innovate like Amazon with the Kindle, or they will go out of business

Also I have noticed that very few commuters read Newsday. Most fellow commuters are reading the NY Post, NY Times, or Wall Street Journal

Cuomo and his father are both so left-wing that you have to look to the right to see them. Mario Cuomo opposed restoring the death penalty and said if it were restored over his veto, he would commute any death sentence handed down by any court in the state. Son Andrew came out in favor of the Ground Zero mosque, mouthing the usual liberal blather about America, religious freedom, the flag, Mom, apple pie and Chevrolet, as though this were about religious freeedom instead of a war we're in, a war which the left resolutely refuse to acknowledge exists, against evil, which the also refuses to acknowledge exists.

Spitzer's mistake as governer was that he, having been a prosecutor, brought the prosecutor mentality to the governor's office, screaming, "I'm going to be a d--n steamroller!" Thus, when he was caught with his pants down, unlike some other politicians, Spitzer found there was no good will toward him which might have helped save him, and considerable glee at his downfall.

Now, what does any of this have to do with railroading, and with the LIRR in particular?

The once teenage drug dealer working alley pond park has done well for himself as the next NY Big Man. All the Front page headlines everyday how he was to clean up the railroad. One small article how FK was cleared of all charges but one. That being how he used a company computer for personal business. We will never see Front page headlines about how much taxpayer dollars the ex drug dealer spent on the investigation and came up with zero. Any union that does support him needs to think again. There never was nor will there ever be a benefit supporting this individual. Sorry to the webmaster but State Jobs are all about politics.

F.K. was cleared of ALL charges. He was ordered to pay a fine and file an amended state tax return, which, when he itemizes all deductible personal expenses, will probably result in his getting a sizable refund.
