The 4 Gray Passanger Cars are originaley built for Canadian National they were later transfered to VIA Rail Canada I do not rember the orignal car numbers althow I'll tell ya that they are stamped in the door handles on push bars on the doors inside the cars. Two of them had electric heat and set up to run on a HEP Unit and 2 still had steam heat on them and required a steam generaor car which VIA Rail still uses on there Churchill, Manatoba route on the Hudson Bay Railway.

The 2 Maroon color 6 axle cars are orignal Ex Norfolk & Western Railroad after they were sold by N&W.

Update!

We had a report of a new unit, to become FGLK 2309..
Was rumoured to be another Camas Prairie unit, (same as 2308)..I have now confirmed that rumour is untrue.

I took a look around the internet this morning, and found photographic proof of TWO new FGLK units!
FGLK 2309 and FGLK 2310.

Originally Santa Fe Units, still wearing ATSF Warbonnet paint!

Photos here:
FGLK 2309 - http://www.locophotos.com/~locophot/Pho ... oID=108610

In 1988 ATSF Rebuilt 16 of their B23-7 units.
they were upgraded to 3,000 HP and were briefly renumbured in the 7200 series.
FGLK 2309 was part of this group. 2310 was not.

BTW, I think I saw somewhere they might be getting two B23-7's, and I want to say they are from the Ohio Central, ex-BNSF. But don't hold me to that. (Their *just* GE's, not like they were Alcos or anything.

Funny how RS-3 had it right all the time and everyone else keep saying it was something different....Wonders what kind of condition they are in and how much work is going to be needed to get them running

Not terribly surprising since GWI bought out the Ohio Central and GVT is pretty much all-EMD so has been slowly dumping the GE's (and didn't get any of the Alcos OHCR had at all, they stayed with previous ownership in the sale).

Edit: I've no idea why that said GVT, perhaps I shouldn't reply to posts early in the morning.

FWIW, current issue of Railfan & Railroad (with the Ski Train F40PH's on the cover) has a shot inside of 1702 in service on FarmRail last winter.

Knowing the Fingerlakes Guys, As small as they may be, I give it 2 weeks... not even.. 1 week before both units are on the road. Patched, of course.
I wonder when they'll do up 2308, these two, and the P&W boat in the lightning stripes.

Most of the outher B23's got painted when traffic was a bit slow. So I would assume that They will more than likley run as is till 2309 and 2310 arrive when ever that will be. I did not know that they had bought a 10th B23-7 I knew about the 9th one.

Thats now 9 B23s?
I'm sure they can take the time to paint 2309 and 2310, since usually 2 or 3 handle the GA turn... to the best of my knowledge. (Do correct me if I am wrong) Though I may not like GE's, its good to see that the FGLK is surely prospering to continue purchasing more power.

Ah yes. Thank you. Forgot about 1989. There is no 2302? Or is that the one in Texas?
