Probably around 11pm Monday night.

Not sure what time you went through or what time the mainline was cleared off, but that may have just been an attempt to shave rust off the new crossovers at Tufts. As the crossovers were never used prior to Sunday, there is a rusty rail restriction on them. That basically means a train may not properly shunt (complete an electrical circuit) with the signal system. All trains crossing over must call their movement clear of the interlocking before the switches can be thrown again. In order to get these restrictions removed, trains may be intentionally crossed over, even when unnecessary, to get the rust off faster.
