I thought 206 was a Haverhill train.

NS/PAR train 206. Fortunately it doesn't cross paths with MBCR 206. ;-)

As of this past weekend, all North Side engineers are HSP qualified. The 2001 is OK to roam the North Side in a regular rotation until it is time to qualify the South Side engineers.
NS and Everyone: Good picture of MPI HSP-46 2001 at the Charles River Bridge near North Station...

I am getting to like the appearance of these locomotives - I know that it is what is inside that actually counts...
As these locomotives get tested and accepted by the MBTA I feel other commuter rail operations that could use new and updated
passenger diesels - like the LIRR - should be watching...

2002 trailed NSs 9525 and 9540 but led the rest of a tied-down 206 -- the PAS one -- on 2 at Gardner 0615/0430-2014

No, the 2002 has not arrived at B.E.T. yet. It is my understanding that all of the new locomotives will be sent to the P&W for contractual set-up work first.

The word is the 2002 is coming to BET, not P&W. Now in Ayer.

The 2004 was in Nampa, Idaho interchanged BVRR to UP.

The 2002 is now being reported on SEPO through Westford, so I imagine it going
to Lawrence to be repainted...er...sorry...for LA2 to bring to Boston...

YEP! 2002 was set-off in Lawrence Yard, and according to friends at Pan Am, it will go to B.E.T. tonight on LA-2 or LA-3.

So, I guess all that talk around B.E.T. about these units going to the P&W first was all just sand house rumors.

LA-2 with GMTX 3003 delivered the 2002 to BET just after 1045PM tonight.

The 2004 is by Adelaide, Idaho on the UP.

This unit had all it's prep done since it had to have modifications done before it left MPI. All the other units will go to the P&W or possibly Seaview for set up. I saw the ex St. L & A unit #3003 drop the 2002 off tonight.

A side note the 2001 is in the shop for repairs.

The 3247 looked like it was getting ready to pull the 2002 inside at 7:20 this morning.

At the same time, it looked like another crew was bringing the 2001 over to the layover yard to put it on a new consist.
