There has been little to report on the Northern Branch. I noticed today though in Englewood just south of Demarest Ave that a section of rail has been removed and ties are set across the tracks there. I am guessing that north of this point therefore the line is officially out of service. So do not expect any trains north of Englewood! CSX goes to the edible oils place in Englewood M-F with inbound tank cars.

I cross over the tracks heading east on rt. 46 in the afternoon and lately I've seen a gondola car on the main just south of the highway. I had the impression that nothing is running on the line?

THAT is really bad news! :( Let's hope the rail removal thing is just temporary. I hope that csx is not trying to abandon that portion of line.

CSX has already made the Northern Branch above MP14 OOS. However, have not abandoned it yet

lol those monk parakeets are loud!!! They had taken over a huge transformer on a pole years ago, you couldn't even see the transformer anymore cause of the nest. PSE&G removed it, guess they like there new digs better.
