I've been spending some time in York PA recently and seen a lot of tracks but no trains. I'm particularly intrigued by street running segments such as seen along Pershing Ave.. Are these still active under Yorkrail and, if so, when is one likely to catch activity? I also noticed a sign for a railfan "park" (more like a corner it seems) but didn't get any hits when I search online for information about it and there doesn't seem to be all that much activity on the line immediately adjacent.

I'm not there very much and when I am it's usually a weekend but would appreciate any information or links if this has already been discussed.

Thanks
Andy

You might want to call YorkRails' office for train times. I caught a YKR train once, MPA2 sitting beside Metso Minerals at one evening.

As for the street tracking, I believe it is still used, though I've never seen a train on them.
