Seems to me that holiday, fall foilage and Thomas the Tank Engine runs are meant to 1) increase awareness to the general public 2) raise much needed funds.

This is not to say that railfans and their patronage are not important, but I think it's pretty clear that if museums had to rely solely on railfan revenue, they would all be shuttered in a matter of days. Museums are about educating the masses, not preaching to the choir. Furthermore, to think that railroad enthusiasts are being snubbed when family-friendly events like Thomas and Easter Bunny and Santa Claus (who is Santa Claws? Sounds like something Tim Burton would come up with in Nightmare Before Christmas) are offered is a little silly.

Consider using us as an outlet for news, much like CMRR, NAUG, URHS and other groups do. Even if the news update is "Still hauling out trash from the site," you keep your project front of mind.

Great news, Scott, and rest assured I'll be contributing to your efforts. Thanks for showing that, contrary to what many believe, Buffalo CAN get things done!!!!
