What is the TC-69???

What is the TC-69? I hear this track car cleared to go east of Ronkonkoma many weekday mornings after # 201 clears. It departs Ronkonkoma shortly after 7 am and arrives Greenport by 9:45.

If I'm not mistaken, the TC-69 is the track geometry car. It takes very accurate measurements of the track. I'm sure some guys in M of W and/or Engineering can give you more details.

TC69 is a highrail vehicle used to inspect for broken bars and pullaparts.. TC82 is the geometry car..
