The first part of the story is that the Auto Extra with NSs 9234, 2776, and 6596 plus 33 racks, including an articulated, was west of the Bike Shop on 2 at 1231 on 07-07-2011. A few minutes later, there were no racks in Fitchburg visible from the street. D-3 would later tell the Extra to do the rack pick-up at Gardner and also to wait for the PW which was bringing in three more racks. I stopped listening a bit before 1400, so if there were changes or complications, I'm unaware of them.
Part Deux and further to the east, AYMO with NSs 9416 and 9814, UP 4618, and NS 8308 (a sunny day and a buried UP?) plus 23 racks and 97 tables and wells was announced west of 40.2 at 1339, going 38 mph and moving 380 axles, which seems a low count even with a number of five-packs in the pig section. Mebbe the talker lost count.

The detectors are garbage, they almost never give accurate axle counts on large trains.
