West side of Newark Branch

5617 & 5612 at Roche around 2 am with 4 covered hoppers from van ness & spine cars !! 5617 horn is nice & clear!!!

Just caught them heading West at Van Houten Ave (10:32PM)... 5617 and 3 loaded spine sets.

5617 , 5616 & 5612 at Roche around 10:45 last night dropped off a string of spine cars!!!

The 5617 & 5614 have just crossed Bloomfield Ave heading west with 3 well cars with containers at 2:45 PM. Daylight run today...wondering if he will get out to the main line before the commuter rush. or if they will tie him down as they had before just east of the Mt Prospect Ave crossing. Didn't have time to follow him....

5617 & 5614 pushed the spine cars threw Bloomfield ave around 1:45 switched the cars & headed back aound 2:45

A little before 5pm at WC.

5617 & 5614 showed up at Roche around 1pm pushing a switching a huge string of cars !!!!!!

5615 & 5614 pulling them back up the grade , they have to stop right before the crossing to get the signals to flash , had to put it in notch 8 to get it started awesome sound !!!!!

Thanks for posting, interesting operation! I hope there's future for this branch after the cleanup is done.
