Was out for a Sunday drive yesterday, my first visit to the Washington Secondary. I was surprised to meet a westbound train at about 1:00PM, just entering Washington. Two units pushing two covered hoppers and pulling five cars, mixed box and covered hoppers. Does this job work out of Allentown, or Dover. What days does it operate? Thanks for any responses.....

That was the H74, the sunday local for Washington. This is an Allentown train as is the Monday through Saturday (Although Saturday is not frequent) H65 which handles the primary Washington work. H02 out of Dover comes west to bring and take cars for the M&E plus their own local work.

The big customer on the line is BASF right in Washington. They receive tank cars of some chemical. Along what is left of the old main is a lumber customer and a plastics customer, although from what I understand access to them is very difficult.
