Hi everybody

Does anybody has any idea what cars are trailing in this picture at the 6th and 7th position behind the power ?

Woodchip hoppers with (removable) roof ? All-door-boxcars ?
The freight car chassis looks like regular 40ft ... 50ft flat / box car ...

Take a look at this page, particularly numbers 22943 and 130583-do either of these look like they could be the cars you're inquiring about?

In the 1950's and 1960's, the Southern had a number of innovative, experimental freight cars. One that I particularly remember were some extremely large boxcars designed specifically for carrying hogsheads of tobacco.

car 130583 looks like the 2 in the pic above.
