I hope everyone involved is alright. I see alot of stupid stuff with cars trying to pass and beat the trolley, especially on roads like Lancaster, Lansdowne Ave and Richmond St. I am relieved it wasn't on the 15...

so the skinny on this here in the west philly is that the tar truck illegally tried to pass the trolley and got smacked. not sure if this is true, but my wife was certainly glad she took the 34 instead of the 13! anyone have more definitive news?

SEPTA source says a roofing truck ran a stop sign and slammed into the trolley. 14 passengers from the trolley and 2 from the truck were injured. All of the injuries were non life-threatning.

A Route 52 bus was pulled off it's line for 13 shuttle service. The accident occured just after 5pm, the line remained detoured between 40th and 49th until 815pm.
