Seems since the C-424,#4228(?) has been working the entire line, instead of the GP-15,#1501,that it has NOT been lucky. 2 weeks ago, about 4 hours after I saw it spreading ballast in Brunswick with 6 hoppers,it was involved with the fatality to the fishermen(tresspassers) on the bridge by Warren Depot.
Today,a 70 year old man,who should have known better, and probably too young for senility, tried to beat the train at the Old Bath Rd. crossing, just east of Cooks Corner,by the entrance to Wal Mart,Wendy's etc. and got hit at the crossing. No gates, but flashers were working fine. Train does NOT go very fast there, luckily, and he HAD,what appeared to be a larger sedan. Injuries not life threatening, and he will be issued a summons!
