Before Christmas, for the first time ever, I saw an intermodal train on the Trenton Cut-off where it goes over Old Eagle School Road (this was around 9:30 PM). I think I nearly caused an accident by looking at it. Then this past Monday around 4:20 PM I saw a hi-rail truck up on it. It's been my understanding that this part of the cutoff is rarely used - are there any plans to increase traffic on it or is this not uncommon and I've just been unlucky?

I live up the hill from there.

Activity usually is based on how busy Mittal Steel (formerly Lukens) is in Coatesville.

Activity is far more eratic than in years past. I've seen the scrap steel train tied down at the new Home Depot parking lot several times on weekend mornings since November, no idea why.
