I am one who loves trains and would prefer not to to fly. I have traveled to Chicago every year on the Three Rivers and have just learned it may be discontinued. If this happens, will there be any way to take a train from Philadelphia to Chicago?

You can take the Cardinal if it's Tri-Weekly schedule meets your requirements. Also, you could take a frequent Corridor train to Washington, thence taking the Capitol Limited, or go to New York and take the Lake Shore Limited.

MODERATOR'S NOTE

We have other active topic threads here regarding the possible discontinuance of the Three Rivers effective March 2005 as well as its Nov 1 loss of Sleeping Car service.

Mr. Sernak's inquiry has been answered by Mr. Fan; accordingly, I am locking this thread but encourage discussion regarding the Three Rivers to move forth at previously established threads.
