A fellow engineer reported that last night the 25 or so retired ACMU's were moved and are gone ??
there are now 4 west of Hudson Bombardiers sitting in the yard.

Do you know where they were moved to?

You'll be shaving with them in six months. Or buying part of them in your 2006 Toyota or Chevy.

It wouldn't surprise me that the reason none have been saved (so far) is that way, no railfan group will beg MNCR to operate the things again-- if they exist only in photos, no one will try to run 'em again.

"if they exist only in photos, no one will try to run 'em again."

Yup. and thats exatly what the MTA wants - a Railroad system with no railfans.

Trust me, when the ACMU's are gone for ever as part of structural steel or a car, then they will realize their screw up. But hey look at our wonderful leaders.

Also if none of us actually put our feet down to stop there non-sense it will just get worse. Soon there will be no need for a MTA because their services will be cost prohibitive the persons that rely on them (people who cant aford a car and so on)
