Anyone have an idea what was used for the H10s (2-8-0) Long Island series 101-119 tenders? Bronze gold, Dulux gold or white? Thanks folks.
Steve

Steve:

Per response to my e-mail to Art Huneke, he says the lettering was gold or just plain yellow. He did say that sometimes it appeared white. I guess this was due to lighting and perhaps fading.

I agree with Art's color scheme. Occassionally it did look white, but that wasn't the practice. Go with the flat gold.

I have not been able to download that wonderful PRR style font with the notched corners. I think one is available commercially, but I don't have a reference. Wouldn't that look great on some LIRR equipment again?

Dulux, Dulux, Dulux. Same color as on the Keystone number and border. Well, I may be wrong. but I don't think so. BTW, I scored a major find... A genuine Sunbeam headlight, to be delivered to my house in January! Now all I need is the correct font for the number board. Think I will do "21".
