I'll be over at Scott AFB for a week (near St Louis via light rail). Where are the St Louis Car photo collection kept at, and are they available for viewing? I'm looking for photos of gas-electric car bodies that were assembled for EMC. :D

While your here, check out the National Museum of Transportation, as they have an extensive library on railroads, not to mention the worlds largest collection of steam locomotives, including the famous Frisco 1522. :D Also, if you plan to do any railfanning in the area, check out my site. (Link in signature.) Or even the MOT is located along the very busy Union Pacific Jefferson City Sub. (30-50 movements a day) and has an elevated platform for fanning, which is very convienent. :P

Also along the light rail line is the Mercantile Library on the campus of University of Missouri-St. Louis, which has an extensive collection of railroad materials (photos, equipment registers, books, etc.), not the least of which is the John Barriger Collection.
