I saw in an earlier post that the shore fast line was electified??!! Does any one know what kind of electric locomotive was operated down here??? I always pass over the Pleasantville trackage it is hard to imagine catanary and trains going through at high speeds......... Does anyone have any pictures of the electrifies fast line???

Look at the link above. If you search you can probably find others sites about the Shore Fast Line between Atlantic City and Ocean City. AFAIK there were no locomotives. These were trolley cars. They ran on the street in town and went on railroad lines inland. Crews had to be railroad qualified.

Also I think there were early MU's by the Pennsylvania Railraod from Camden to Atlantic City. They were both 3rd rail and overhead wire depending on where they were. Again AFAIK no electric locomotives.

I am sure there are others who know more than I and can correct and/or clarify what I say.
