Funny Uhaul mentions Conrail SD9's. I've never seen such a thing (I know, I know, they existed at one time). I used to live in South Bend on the water level route, and it was amazing how CR only used the newest and shiniest power. The power is much older average age now that NS took over compared to the CR days. As a railfan, I find the older power entertaining - you sure didn't see SD9's GP38's in the mid-90s, but you see 'em now.

You are right that it is rare considering none are in NS service anymore.
