Sue Henry was discussing this on WILK AM/FM radio this morning. It is a porcupine but it has a beaver tooth IMO. Part of the Laurel Line is used for trollys running from the station at Steamtown up to the ball park.

This is more a baseball then rail comment on my part, but come on SWB. This is what the third team name in 6 years? First the Red Barons for decades, the briefly the Yankees (which makes the most sense now) and now this RailRiders? At least find the space bar.

Remaining off topic... sorry... the team was the Red Barons when they were affiliated with the Philadelphia Phillies.

When the Phillies ditched them in favor of the Ottawa Lynx who became the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, the New York Yankees picked them up and they changed names to the Yankees.

A reason given for this change was that the team would have its own identity, and thus sell more merchandise. We'll see if that works out.

Meanwhile, getting a little back on topic, it will be interesting to see if there are going to be any tighter tie-ins with the Electric City Trolley Museum and the trolley runs to the ballpark, or any tie-ins at all with Steamtown (more difficult given it's a National Historic Site, I would think).
