I have heard that there are several small locomotives still in existance on some of the Marianas Isands including Saipan Tinian Rota and Pagan. These are just north of Guam. The locos were used to bring sugar cane to Japanese owned sugar mills on these islands between the two world wars. Fighting during WWII ended the sugar industry. Does anyone have any further information on these locos, such as builder info?
