I have noticed more and more speed limit signs showing up along RI. The most interesting of which appear to be crossover speed limits. The signs are white circles with the speed listed. I'm surprised it took two derailments for speed limits to get posted along the route.

Are any of them posted in that notorious area around 47th St. where the derailments occurred?

I have no idea. I know the crossover limit signs are before interlockings at 66th Court in Tinley, Mokena, and New Lenox. There is also a reduced 65mph sign up between Mokena and New Lenox for a sharper curve, however that might have been there.

Those signs are a big waste. The crossover at 47th St. is no longer there. In fact one main was relocated to the new right of way between 47th and Englewood about 2 weeks ago.
