Which bilevel coach and cabs were retired from Metra?

It might be a good idea to darken your font.

The C&NW pullman bilevels, with carbon steel skin, were retired almost completely. There seems to be 4 left. Also, Rock Island had some bright-red carbon steel bilevels, and I don't know how far they made it into Metra. They're gone now.

All the Rock cars went over to North Western when the new Budd cars arrived starting in 1977. My understanding is that some, if not all, of the Rock cab cars had their cabs blanked when they were sent over. The cab compartment was still there in the end of the car, though.

Ergo, all of the Rock cars were dispersed with the rest of the Pullman fleet.

If I'm not mistaken, most of the smooth-side cars that used to run on the North Central Service were ex-Rock Island.

MILW ran some ex-Rock decommisioned cab cars-turned-coaches. The cab windows were blocked out and painted over, but the cab space still existed inside.
