I recall there were recently photos, I believe from MassDOT, which had shown the remainder of Court St Station. They revealed the ventilation chamber the station had turned into. I've been searching for a while now, and I can't find the photos. I'm also almost positive the link to the pics was shared on this forum, but I can't find them anywhere.

I too remember and searched to no avail.

This is all I was able to find.
The two photos Paul shared with us when he was alive.

And I thought I saw something on the T's website. I looked quickly but now I am not sure.

Much thanks for locating this, Mr. Urbex! I would like to think Mr. Joyce would have enjoyed seeing these! :-D

I think he would have been *ecstatic*! :-) Especially since I believe it has changed since the time he was inside it.

I think he, and everyone else, would also greatly appreciate these photos of the sealed Cornhill Tunnel: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 173&type=3" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

When was the floor at Court filled in above the BL tracks? Was Paul's shot from 1988 right immediately before they did construction to convert that space into a vent room? I certainly can't recall any construction at GC in the last 20 years beyond the relatively minor BL platform extension work. Certainly nothing of relatively recent origin that would require as much disruption and heavy equipment as pouring a new concrete floor in the open cavern above the active BL tracks.

Somewhere about 1989 or early 90's a contractor constructed the ventilation shaft that now exists at this location. A concrete floor was constructed above the blue line to support the fans installed . An opening was made and louvers were installed in the wall at the Park St. end of the eastbound green line platform.Grates were installed at street level with a raised structure in front of the old Court House ( present Boston School Dept. Admin. building) for intake/exhaust.At this time what remained of the old exit next to this building was sealed off. Under the present Government Center project a couple of utility rooms are also being constructed in this space over the blue line.
