1921 could go to Fall River(Old Colony RR museum, i think is the name). Have yet to make it down there, but i will oneday.

Also Dave, i believe you told me you know what paint that 3247 got, can we have any hints???? I just have to know. It's eating away at me........

I would like to see the 1921 go to Conway Scenic, I think it would fit in nicely with there collection.

The 3247 from what I have been told is to be painted like the caboose! Hope you got sunglasses when it comes back to town!!!

Yikes! That's going to be an interesting paint scheme lol!

Why couldn't they just paint it like 902 and 904?

THe paint scheme for the caboose and the snowplows isn't that bad

The 3247 will not be painted like the caboose and snowplows.
Myself and a coworker did the basic design of its paint scheme.
It will be, in some ways, similar to the 1921. The final lettering
was submitted too and hopefully it'll get a Op Lifesaver logo.
Also it may become MBTX 3000.

Guilford is actually going to allow a B&M type scheme! I thought they were very anti-B&M these days.

It should be a beautiful loco.

Now, can we see about getting 902 a orange and black NH paint job and 904 a B+M Blue job???

While were at it, let's paint an F40 up as a NYC E unit. How about also a B&M checkerboard F40, and a Mcginnis NH F40. C'mon, who's up for it???

The 3247 will not mimic the B&M 1921 paint job. Only in that the
main color is going to be maroon or cranberry with a silver band
and yellow seperation stripes. But that's all I am going to say for
now.

As for NH, NYC paint schemes, I did suggest at one time (back
around the time the 905 was sold to a railroad contractor in CT),
it would be nice to do a tribute to the NH and NYC with the 902 and
904. The reply was that he didn't believe in these retro paint jobs
including the 1921. Oh well.

Oh, it should still be a good looking loco.

Who isn't in favor of the retro schemes??? Maybe we could expand it to the whole fleet ALA Metro North. Oh well, i can dream, and maybe one day, it will happen.

Actually, those are song lyrics. The writer is the late Harry Chapin's
brother. I used to have a cassette of the song, which was done at
the time of the formal dedication of the engine.
