The Cardinals' Train departed GCT June 16, 1926.

Consist was a K-class 4-6-2, 1 Baggage, 4 all-room sleepers, 1 Diner, and 1 Private Car. All cars were 6-axle standard heavyweights. Sleepers were Pullmans that were taken from their usual assignments.

The J-class Hudson locomotives (such as #5406) were not yet in service.

The entire train was specially painted a deep red.

The return from Chicago departed June 25th.

Upon return, all equipment was repainted the standard Pullman green and returned to the usual services.

Hope this helps.
