Puerto Natales Chile to Rio Gallegos Argentina Rail Link

Anyone heard of this proposal and resurrecting the old Rio Turbio Railway and some of the 2-10-0's ?

What would be the reason for reopening this line? I visited there in 1999; it was sad to see the modern steam locomotives rusting away.

Thought some would be interested in this... taken about 10 years ago in Rio Gallegos... the structure in the background was (I believe) the locomotive shop, as it had smoke jacks, etc.
