The Erie RR built a powerhouse for its electrified RR in Jersey City in 1924ca. It was built on the corner of 9th and Provost. Anyone have any more information on the powerhouse or even better, a picture of it?

Also plan to prowl some of the existing structures of the Erie Railroad.I've seen the picture of this power house before, I just didn't realize that it supplied power to the Erie.

May also have generated electricity for lighting.CarterB wrote:There was a power house for the Erie built circa 1924 at the 9th and Provost location.
