From Garland McKee:

Apparently the former D&M RS-2 469 and RS-2 974 are to be scrapped this week:

Barring any last minute offers to purchase.

Sad to see. The 469 is one of the first RS-2's built. The units are owned by Waymore Power (Spencer Garrent)of Illinois.

sounds like there was potential interest and at least some discussion of the possiblilty of movement to another location for storage, at least "for now". Anyone know the outcome??

^Update: Talks regarding temporary storage are currently developing between Waymore Power and the Saginaw Valley Rail Museum which is only about 5 miles from the LSRC Saginaw yard where #974 and #469 are stored. These units were purchased by Waymore from LSRC. They have stated they would sell these units to groups interested in preservation.

any updates on the outcome/status/ownership/location of the RS's? Anything going on with the rest of the retired LSRC units (M420s, C425s)?
